Have you been meaning to learn how to handle a handgun, but don't know where to start? Well, here's your opportunity!

The Sidney Shooting Park is partnering with the NSSF to offer a First Shots® Introduction to Handgun Shooting class!

This class is for anyone who has limited exposure or never fired a handgun before, but has the desire to learn! This is also a great introductory class to take prior to signing up for a Concealed Carry class.

The class will run for approximately 2 hours. Eye and ear protection will be provided, but you may bring your own.

You will be using ONLY the instructor's gun and ammunition during the class, and no personal firearms or ammo are allowed in the classroom or on the range during the class. SSP Members may bring their own handgun and ammo to continue practicing after the class on their own time. Please leave your guns locked in your car until after the class is over.

Minimum age is 12, and anyone 12-20 years of age must have a parent's permission.

Class cost is $25, and you will receive a $25 gift certificate to SSP if you fill out a short online survey after the class! (One certificate per email address.) You must register ahead of time as there are only 5 spots available per class.

• Friday, June 25, 10 a.m. - 12 p.m.

• Sunday, June 27, 10 a.m. - 12 p.m.

• Friday, July 16, 10 a.m. - 12 p.m.

*Please note that these class times are not set in stone. If you can't make these times, please call Bill and suggest other days/times. We can also offer Ladies-only classes, group classes, etc. Just ask!
