Archery

In 2017, the existing Archery range was upgraded to have 11 practice lanes ranging from 20 to 80 yards.

A new, one-mile walking course was added that includes 14 targets spread out across the natural contour of the area's landscape surrounding the practice lanes.

The Archery range has a shelter with a concrete pad, picnic benches, and bow racks, as well as ample parking.

Archers must provide their own equipment.

Absolutely NO broadheads are allowed on the target fields unless you bring your own targets.  Please use field tips only.

Come join us Saturday, August 21st, for a 3-D shoot and fundraiser!

Doose Outfitters Ministry is a 501(c)(3) non-profit located south of Mitchell, Nebraska on the beautiful North Platte River. They use hunting, equine healing, and art as the platform in the healing process of America's Heroes. They have case managers and counselors on-site, and they share the message of the cross and salvation by giving their testimony.

All proceeds go towards purchasing an $8000 Drash tent that will be used to house guests on their hunting adventures. This way they can offer sleeping accommodations on-site without incurring unnecessary hotel expenses for guests and the organizations they work with.

Men’s, women’s, veteran's, and youth classes. $25 entry fee. Registration is from 8-10am. Challenge Shoots, 20-target 3-D shoot, Virtual Archery Tournament, Skill Challenges for the Youth, Raffles, 50/50. Burgers and dogs will be available!

GRANT AWARD ANNOUNCEMENT!

2017 - "Would you like to round up?" It's a common phrase you hear as you pass through a Cabela's checkout line.

Your "round-up" contributions are hard at work right here in Sidney!  The Cabela's Outdoor Fund awarded a $21,000 grant to the Sidney Shooting Park specific to archery range enhancements.

The current west-facing practice range will be decommissioned and replaced with a new north-facing range across the road.

A new "walking course" will be completed by mid-summer.  The walking course includes 14 targets spread out across the natural contour of the area's landscape, covering just under one mile.

In addition to the expanded practice range and walking course, the grant will fund construction of a shelter with a concrete pad, picnic benches, and bow racks, as well as fencing and signage.
